Welcome back! Registration for Session 2 of the 2017-2018 school year is currently open.   Register by Friday, August 13th and receive $5 off per class (prices listed reflect discount). Regular registration will end on Friday, October 20th. Classes will begin on  Monday, October 23rd. Don't let your favorite classes fill up. Email enrichment@encinoelementary.net if you have questions. Thank you for participating in our after-school enrichment program!

Please read these instructions before starting the registration process. 

1. Please choose your classes below, for one child only. You may choose more than one class for your student, but please make sure that they do not occur on the same day. The system will not correct you if you make this mistake.  NOTE:  You can search for classes by day if you enter the day of the week in the Search by field below.

2. To select a class for your child, please enter the quantity "1". Once you've made your selections, click "Continue" and enter all the required information for that child - name, teacher, afterschool program, etc. Please verify that you have entered your contact information carefully, because we will use it if we need to provide you with information about a class in which your child is registered.

3. Proceed to checkout and pay for classes using a credit card.  Do not combine your enrichment purchases with other website purchases.  If you are purchasing classes for more than one child, you must register and pay for each child separately.

Computer Programming II (Monday 2:45-3:45)

Continue learning to code with Mr. Rodriguez! This class is for programmers that have a basic understanding of programming (or took the first Computer Programming class). Using the Python programming language, kids will be reviewing the basic terminology, land learning more advanced techniques.

Egghead Engineering: Super Structures w/ LEGO (Monday 2:45-3:45)

Professor Egghead is back and badder than ever! Come join the Super Structures Engineering Team this session as we design and build huge structures! Using LEGO™, students will build mega bridges that can withstand over 4 lbs. of weight, 4 foot tall skyscrapers, gigantic pyramids, connecting tunnels, elevators that lift things 5 feet in the air, and tons more. Then, we’ll try to knock em down, crush them, and put them to the test! At the end of the session, all students will graduate with an Egghead Engineering Super Structures Degree.

Young Ninjas: Master Session (Tuesday 1:45-2:45)

For eons, people of the world recoiled in fear at the sight of a spider . But the truth is that a spider’s greatest skill is its patience. To earn your yellow headband/powerband you must display great patience, just like a spider does as it spins its web and waits for prey to approach. This session is an expansion of the previous session with an introduction to NEW Spider blocks, kicks, strikes, and combinations. Students will participate in exciting martial arts games and activities that mix Tae Kwon Do, Karate, & Kung Fu with spider themes. New students receive their Yellow Spider Heaband while returning students receive their Yellow Powerbands! All Young Ninjas receive an official YNUSA and a personalized Certificate of Achievement at the end of the session. Ki-yah!

Egghead Explorers (Friday 2:45-3:45)

Strap on your gear, get on your binoculars, and join the Egghead Explorer Squad as we fizz, pop, mix, and experiment our way around the Earth! As Egghead Explorers, students will make a sundial to keep track of the time, a flashlight to see in the dark, fake tar pits, fossils, volcanoes, snow, magnetic bumper cars, and tons more. The best part? They get to take it all home! All Eggheads will also get their Explorer ID card, authorizing them to use real science to explore the globe.
